The Isle of Cumbrae has always been a family friendly destination, even for wildlife.
A cute oystercatcher chick roaming the beach in Millport with his mother has captured the hearts on social media.
There are a number of nesting areas on the Isle of Cumbrae, while one oystercatcher has even set up a nest in a plant box area at Fairlie Quay marina.
The pictures in Millport were taken by Eddie Williams and posted up on the Millport Photos facebook page.
