A new Isle of Cumbrae shaped guitar, specially commissioned for the Country Music Festival in September, is up for grabs.
People who buy tickets for the the festival on 1-3 September are being entered into a draw to win one of the guitars.
The organisers have received a lot of comments regarding the new logo for this year’s festival, using the shape of the Isle of Cumbrae as the body of a guitar.
It was the same concept as the logo used on the t-shirt designs for the the 1st ever Millport Country and Western Festival back in 1995. Gavin Chittick, who is heading the festival organisation, came up with the concept.
Guy Harrison, an expert luthier (guitar maker) and specialist in making custom electric guitars makes bespoke guitars for many top musicians, has been selected to produce the unique guitars.
The festival is making two of the unique Cumbrae guitars available to festival visitors. One will go to auction in aid of local Millport youth organisations, and another can be won by anyone who has bought a concert ticket for the Millport Country Music Festival.
