Millport’s long tradition of the September Weekend to draw the season’s tourism festivities to a close was a huge success.

Yet again, fireworks lit up the night skies as all the shops, cafes and bars stayed open late on Saturday night, with special late night sailings arranged with Caledonian MacBrayne.

There was a full weekend of events including the Cumbrae Dramatic Club play on Friday evening, illuminations evening on Saturday, and a number of competitions and events over the weekend. There was also the Millport’s Got Talent competition of which there will be more details next week.
