A family including three children required hospital checks after a fire broke out at a Millport property early on Sunday.
An emergency 999 call was made at 5:45am reporting a blaze at a house in Golf Road.
A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “Two crews were immediately mobilised from Millport Fire Station and firefighters reached the scene around 9 minutes later.
“Firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the property and quickly extinguished a small fire using a single hosereel jet.
“Our crews assisted the occupants of the property and requested an ambulance attend as a precautionary measure.
“Two adults and three children were then taken to hospital for precautionary check-ups.”
