The Firth of Clyde Coastal Rowing Club is hosting its annual rowing regatta this Saturday.
A total of between 8-10 skiffs from across the country are expected to compete, including the world champions from Anstruther.
Racing will take place at Largs Sailing Club from about 11am until around 4pm, followed by a prizegiving.
The community sailing group, who launched a new skiff earlier this summer, named “The Thistle’, was built by a large number of volunteer boat builders from Fairlie and West Kilbride at the Fairlie Quay boat builders workshop over the past year.
The coastal rowing club are hoping to increase membership and raise awareness of the sport, allowing more people to participate as well as being able to compete at events throughout the country.
