AGM
The AGM for the 71st Ayrshire Scout Group will be held at the Scout Hall on Wednesday May 3 at 7pm. All parents and any other interested parties are welcome. 

Fundraiser
Following the recent Fire and Rescue sponsored Everest climb of the Skelmorlie fire tower, a total of £10,292.70 was raised for Ardgowan Hospice. There was also a Mount Everest quiz night with Skelmorlie Skanks, and other fundraisers including Valentine Night, dress down day at Royal Bank of Scotland mortgage centre, and bottle stalls. Thanks to Greenock nurses at Larkhall Unit for fundraising too towards the excellent total.

Skelmorlie Golf Club
A Pie, A Drink & A Quiz takes place at the club on Saturday April 29 including a McCaskie’s pie. Tickets are on sale behind the bar.

 

Bus timetable
The new Skelmorlie-Upper Inverkip service is service 547, and the 578/580 service has been discontinued. SPT 578 evening and weekend services will continue to operate. Pick up your timetable on the bus or check out the website www.mcgillsbuses.co.uk and freephone 08000 51 56 51.


Music
The Clyde Coast Strathspey & Reel Society consists of several musicians who play mainly Scottish music on a variety of Scottish instruments (mostly fiddles and accordions).
They practice on Saturday mornings in Skelmorlie &Wemyss Bay Parish Church hall from 10am till noon. Anyone interested in joining the group is welcome to come along to the practice sessions. Also the group are available to entertain local organisations in the afternoons or evenings.
