A packed community centre was the venue for the annual party for more than 100 senior citizens from the villages of Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay recently.
Following an excellent dinner, the talented Urban Folkers, with their unique blend of classic hits and festive favourites, set toes tapping and encouraged many of the guests to sing along and take to the floor to dance the night away.
The party is always a great event which is eagerly anticipated, with many of the regulars saying it was one of the best they had ever attended.
At the end of the evening, Betty Bichard, who had been one the party organisers for some 36 years, was presented with a floral arrangement in appreciation of her hard work over the years. She is now taking a well-earned break and is looking forward to attending as a guest in future years.
