Work costing �150,000 will begin on Monday January 21 to replace the sea wall north of Largs.
The northbound carriageway will be closed for five weeks. with traffic lights in place during this time. The work will replace a section fo the wall damaged in a storm last year. There will be a full closure of the road for four nights with diversions in place.
The B781 at Stairlie Woods near West Kilbride has been closed for emergency roadworks following a landslide on Monday. The road is expected to be closed until the end of this week. A signed diversion route is in place and drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journey.
