Assistant Largs Thistle manager Arnie, a.k.a Stuart Davidson, believes that Thistle need to take their chances after putting in a better display against Cumbernauld.

Thistle are still top of the table, but with only two points out of three games, the Barrfields side need to get back on track at Yoker on Saturday. 1.45pm kick-off at Holm Park.

Stuart said: "The pleasing thing about Cumbernauld was it was a better performance than the week before - we were a bit more hungry and had more fight, and created more chances.
"The middle part we battled away but in the key areas but we were not taking our chances. We are disappointed, but when you are looking for positives, it was a better performance.
"We are still top of the league but it takes away that wee cushion that we had, and we are in the pack with everybody else.
"I thought it would happen - it is a really competitive league - it is going to be who is the toughest and go on a decent couple of runs to stay up there. There are going to be a few teams in the mix but as long as we are in it and around about the top and giving ourselves a chance, we won't be far away.
"To be honest, we had a lot of chances - and we didn't take them - if we perform to the same level, and we take our chances this time, we can go and get a good result at Yoker, but we have to earn it. The nature of this league is seeing through the wee blips, and getting back on track."
And Arnie also had words of praise for Saturday's scorer, Willie McClure. He said: "Willie came on as a sub for the winning goal but if you took away his goal, he showed hunger worked hard putting in tackles- he has sat at side quite a lot this season but he has bided his time, and shown to us he is ready to take that chance. Willie has the ability when he is fit and raring to go."
