Finding the top keepers of tomorrow is the aim of the game as a new Largs Goalkeeping Academy recently launched at Barrfields Park.
The event was a huge success, starting off with 14 local goalkeepers in attendance, and has already been pulling off some great saves.
The young shot stoppers are put through their paces by head development coach David Scott, and as you can see from Charlie Gilmour’s photos, it is proving great fun at the Barrfields 3G on Tuesday evenings for boys and girls.
David said: “We are absolutely delighted with the response from the goalkeepers in the Largs area and beyond. After the success of our Academy in Greenock, we were asked by interested parents to expand our services down to the Largs area and we are thrilled that we did. We would like to thank Largs Thistle for allowing us to use their fantastic facility and we would encourage any young Goalkeeper to come along and enjoy themselves within a fun, challenging and rewarding environment.”
