Thistle boss Bryan Slavin said he could take few positives out of Saturday's friendly against St.Roch's - and is RELIEVED to be having an away game this Saturday.
"I think an away game will actually suit us," said Bryan, "as in the few games we have played at home, we seem to have struggled."
"Scoring goals against St Roch's was virtually the only positive we can take from the St Roch's friendly.
"I think it is fair to say that we won't be playing 3-5-2 formation wise any time soon. We have tried a couple of different things.
"During recent games, we have had a fair measure of possession and chances. I don't expect any different this Saturday at Rutherglen - but I am targeting at least a point. We really need to take something from this game."
Largs were hoping to tie up the signing of experienced defender Willie Kinniburgh this week .
It is a 2pm kick-off for Largs at the New Southcroft Park at Rutherglen.
The club are hosting a Race Night fundraiser on Saturday night at the masonic club in Frazer Street, Largs, starting at 7pm. Entry is £5, and includes one of Don's famous curries. For tickets, phone Don on 675405.
