Adrienne Thomson has provided opportunities for people to get into sport where there is limited provision.
Working with the elderly, children with additional support needs and adults via the Livewell project, Adrienne has reached out to some of the most under represented groups within society.
She said: “I am so happy, a massive thank you to all my family and friends for their support, and special thanks to Ayrshire College for the opportunities they gave me.
“I do a lot with Race for Life, and adapted Zumba. I was injured a few years ago with a broken back, and I have had to overcome all of that, and it has been a whirlwind. Ayrshire College opened so many doors for me, it has been incredible.”
Adrienne said the sports awards was a fantastic event, and everyone in the room deserved immense credit. It was her level of commitment and understanding that made Adrienne stand out as an exceptional community volunteer.
