North Ayrshire Athletics Club is one of the success stories of local sport.
Their aim has been to give young people a focus and encourage a healthy lifestyle, with recent successes in teh Central and South of Scotland League, where they have dominated every division for three consecutive years, and are competing against clubs seven times their size.
Stephen McCormack said: "We are really happy, and a lot of work went into it."
Michael Murray said: "We started with around 30 members, and now we are up to 300 a week. The best thing for us is seeing the enjoyment it brings - children from the age of three to adults in the 70s - through athletics."
Stephen said: "The hard work of our volunteers and the athletes from the area has played a big part, from Largs all the way down; we have a good group of people who add to the success we have.
"As well as team achievements, there have been notable individual successes."
