Largs Thistle fans and committee met a surprise visitor at the recent Sauchie verses Largs clash when 1994 Scottish Cup winner Frank Morrison appeared at the game.

Frank was presented with the new version of the Largs Thistle tie by club president Peter Connor.

The full-back featured for Thistle from 1994-1999, and was an important component of the side which shocked junior football to lift the Scottish Cup at Ibrox with victory over Alan Rough's Glenafton side.

And while Largs were not able to overcome East Premier opposition on Saturday, Frank rolled back the years with supporters and friends to recall some of the golden days of the mid-90s, including the buzz on the day, and the famous celebrations which went long into the night.

Frank, who lives nearby Sauchie, popped along for the game, and was part of John Crawford's cup winning side, and also scored in the Scottish Cup in 1999 as Largs triumphed at Banks of Dee.

And as you can see from the below photo at Somerset Park in Ayr when Largs triumped over Kilwinning Rangers in the Scottish Cup semis in 1994, Frank is always in good tune!
