Largs Thistle Curling Club held their Closing Bonspiel at the newly re-developed Ice Rink at Auchenharvie, Stevenston. North Ayrshire Council have developed this facility to a high standard, increasing the number of curling rinks at Harvies from four to six.
The rink has replaced the old Ice Rink at the Magnum Centre in Irvine.
The group photograph shows the many Club members who took part in the competition. Winners of the Bonspiel were the team skipped by Norman Reid with Kenny Green, Helen Forsyth and Andy Hutchison. The runners-up were the team skipped by Charlie Johnstone with Ian Mackie, David McConnell and Joan Jennings. The evening concluded with a visit to Sharps Bar in Largs where the company enjoyed supper and a refreshment.

The Runners-up with the Anderson Quaich from the left are Ian Mackie, Charlie Johnstone, David McConnell and Joan Jennings.
