Model Rail Scotland is pleased to present the annual Scottish Gathering of model railway enthusiasts for another prestigious event held at the SECC in Glasgow from Friday 21st to Sunday 23rd February.

With around 30 clubs, this is the only show in the UK where such a large group of member groups pull together for a Model Railway Show.

This year will see many new layouts from both the member clubs and also from guest layouts, including show supporters Bachmann, Hornby, Model Rail magazine and Peco & Peco publications.

There are also many layouts where this is their first trip north of the border – these include Halifax Kings Cross; and Melton Mowbray (North) 1950s by John Spence.

With much talk of 3D printing technology we are please to announce that ‘Magic Models’ will be providing a 3D printing demo during the show. This is an exciting development within the hobby.

Peco will be launching their new ‘SmartSwitch’ as a new addition to the Pecolectrics range. The show demo tables and display cases will show a vast array of modelling techniques and it’s a great opportunity to see what great craftsmen we have within the hobby.

With 20 different societies attending the event, there will be something for everyone here too from the Scottish Railway Preservation Society, Model Electronic Railway Group and others. A vast array of trade suppliers will be in attendance.
