An SOS for all ABBA fans.... After a long absence one of the top ABBA tribute shows is returning to Largs for the Viking Festival.

The Barrfields’ Users Group (BUG) have arranged for the ABBA night to be in the Largs theatre on Friday, September 4 in an all-singing, all-dancing light and music spectacular.

The marvellous music of Agnetha, Anni-Frid, Benny and Bjorn is much loved, and thanks to the stand-out success of the theatre show ‘Mamma Mia’, followed by the acclaimed movie starring Meryl Streep, songs such as ‘Honey, Honey’, ‘Slipping Through My Fingers’, and ‘Take a Chance on Me’ have found a new generation of fans.

There is no doubting that the magic of the music is in some of the beautiful songwriting and lyrics which provide a fusion of unforgettable nostalgia and a great dance vibe.

For many years, the band ‘Voulez Vous’ performed at the Vikingar, but this year, sees the Largs debut of ‘Abba Gold’ tribute band. BUG, which was formed from the local clubs, Largs Players, Operatic Society, Largs Youth Theatre and Variations, have also attracted former Singing Kettle man Artie to perform his family show, Artie’s Tales, at Barrfields Pavilion Theatre on Sunday afternoon, August 30 with free admission for children.

Look out for ticket details soon.
